Aaron Eger's Research and Photography

Aaron is currently the Founder and Program Director of the Kelp Forest Alliance, a globally driven, locally minded NGO aimed at protecting and restoring 4 million hectares of kelp forests by 2040. He also hold a position as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of New South Wales.

His research looks at how we can combine people with ecological, social, and economic knowledge to provide solutions to wicked problems in our world’s oceans. In a resource limited field, he tries to achieve this goal, not by re-inventing the wheel, but instead by taking a creative view to the information that already exists.
